Butterfly Mosaic

WALT to create a mosaic picture using pastel and Indian ink.

We have used chalk to break our picture up into pieces.

I learned how to use Indian ink and to try not to go over the chalk with pastel.

Next time I will try to fill in more spaces with pastel.

I learned how to say five sentences.

Next time I will try to say ten sentences from my Mihi.

Here are some sentences from my Mihi.

Ko Lisa toku mama.

E iwa aku tau.

ANZAC Writing

WALT: use description in our writing.

I learned that there is a place called Flanders Field.

I achieved my goal because I used lots of description.

Next time I will use more wow words.

Here are some of my best sentences:
ANZAC Day is held on the 25th of April to remember soldiers from New Zealand and Australia who fought
against Turkey at Gallipoli. The Australians began before dawn, later that day the New Zealanders came.

Cross Country

WALT run 1.5km for cross Country 

I learned that it is very very hard to run 1.5km and  it is very tiyering too.

I achieved my goal because I completed the cross country.

Next time I will try to not waste my energy first.

Keep a journal on my bean.
Water my bean and take care of it.

Recount

WALT: write a recount

Success criteria:

1. The first paragraph says where, when, who, why and how.
2. The events are in order.
3. I will use time words (first, then, finally, etc.).
4. My recount is written in the past tense.
5. Details are added to make my writing interesting. Adding adjectives (no went!)
6. I finish my writing by saying how I felt
